About Isabella

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a strategic player on the court, and I love to lead through my voice and my actions. I enjoy studying my opponents before matches to get a feel for their style, and I always take some time afterward to reflect on my performance. It's a great way to improve and figure out how to tackle my future matches with them!

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a knack for noticing the little things and enjoy diving deep into challenges. My dedication and hard work are key to my success, but what really makes me stand out is my ability to bring people together. I love to navigate tricky situations, using my insights not just for my own benefit, but also to promote understanding and teamwork among everyone involved.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I've been involved in musical interests like classical piano and chorus. I also enjoy doing occasional art projects and reading.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I frequently volunteer with my family at a local urban farm (https://www.aglantis.org/), where we grow vegetables that are donated to those in need in our community. From this experience, I have learned the values of perseverance, patience, and compassion. Helping my community requires a team with diverse skills.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My family has sometimes faced financial challenges, especially during the COVID-19 lockdowns. Learning to count every penny and budget has been an invaluable experience for me. Life can change at any moment, so it's important to appreciate today.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a competitive program that effectively balances sports and academics while offering a strong support system. It's also important to me that the program provides financial assistance and resources. Victa brought pure energy — the type of defender who is always in motion and constantly involved in the play. She excelled in scramble situations, using quick reactions and clean emergency platforms to create playable digs out of chaotic touches. What caught my eye was her transition into coverage; she read hitters well and positioned herself exactly where the ball was going. Her serve receive was confident and intentional, stepping into high-pressure balls with good posture and strong angles. ~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

What I’m hoping to see this club season: Continued refinement of her platform discipline so she can pair her natural energy with an even more polished, repeatable first-contact technique.
