About Izabella

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m quick on my feet and think fast to make the best play in the moment. I am very versatile and consistent in attacking, passing, and defense. I focus on the play and try to make the best out of every situation.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is that if I make a mistake, it doesn’t define who I am as a pin and to just focus on the next play. I am outgoing and I bring the energy on and off the court!

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have a received an award in honors biology for outstanding grades! I am involved in 2 school clubs, supporting animals.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Volleyball is a team sport, so i have learned a lot about teamwork and trusting my teammates to do their job. Everyone on the court is a leader and each one of them has something special to bring! I personally learned to stay positive as much as possible because when you are positive, so is everyone else, because the energy I bring radiates out to everyone on the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A challenge that I faced was battling my own thoughts. Mentality in volleyball is a make or break on how you play on the court. I try to focus on good things that I have done or good things that I will do during the game!

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that will train me to be a better player and a better person. I want to be in a college with a good community, where everyone knows eachother! I love active colleges that try and better the area around them!

Please officially welcome Miss Slavkov to the State Rankings.  She is currently ranked as the 9th best overall player according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings.  She plays volleyball for El Dorado High School and also plays for the Tstreet volleyball club.  This extremely athletic pin can flat out throttle the ball with her gifted right arm from any location around the court.  Sometimes it seems as if Bella’s attacks are worth more than one point when they score because of the ferocity in which she attacks with.  This also seems to pump up everyone on her squad.  If I were an opposing coach, I would keep my eye on exactly where she is at all times in each rotation because of how lethal she can be against a solo block.  Not only does she have immense power, but she also shows how intelligent of an attacker she is when she swipes the ball off of the block or uses her off-speed attacks against the holes in the defense.  We are very proud to have her listed on our site.  Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot in our prestigious State Rankings.
