About Izzy

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I attempt to run a fast-paced offense that keeps the blockers guessing. I try to catch the defense off guard with well-timed setter dumps. I love playing defense and have a solid float serve.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I believe I am competitive an resilient. As a three sport athlete, I have a good work ethic and am always pushing myself to improve.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am part of the Student Counsel and I am on the Kindness Committee.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a setter, I have developed effective communication skills. I am the leader on the court and am constantly communicating with my teammates. Volleyball has opened the door with numerous opportunities for community service. I volunteer for our youth volleyball skills camps. I am also involved in raising money for our annual Dig Pink Event.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My most significant challenge I face is being a 3 sport athlete who also plays on a National Volleyball Club team. I need to juggle practices, games, trainings, travel, and academics. Although at times, it is very challenging, it has made me a better leader and teammate.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am exploring all options right now.
