Over the past year of watching her compete, Lee has shown steady and impressive development as a setter. She is technically sound and has continued to fine tune her mechanics, while also growing as a leader on the court. She executes impressive reversals and does a solid job keeping all attackers involved, making it difficult for defenses to key in on any one hitter. In addition, she is a strong offensive threat herself, displaying a variety of well timed dumps, tips, and pushes that consistently catch opponents off guard and leave them scrambling.

Lee works wonders at the net for her hitters. She hustles to the net with time to set her hips and give a fast ball for her hitters. As a jump setter, she speeds up her offense and in turn allows hitters to get around the opponent’s blockers. Her ability to use tight balls to the teams advantage keeps the rally going and forces her opponents to say on their toes.

Lee is a sophomore setter for the Cardinals and does not disappoint. She is in a 5-1 rotation and makes an equal impact in the front and back row. Her release to the net puts her in position to move the the ball quickly, square up her hips, and provide a great ball for her teammates to attack. She hustles to out of system balls and works hard to get her hands their. Her placement of the sets allows for her hitter to be successful no matter where the set is coming from. Lee is a strong server that can make points for her team. All around Lee is dominating the court and making her presence known.

I am a big Lee fan. I have watched her a couple of times and love the fact that she is not a one dimensional player. Lee can attack, pass, serve, and set. While it is impressive that she has a wide range of skills, Lee’s primary position is setter. She sets tempo, can push the ball to the pin, and runs an efficient floor getting all of her attackers involved. Lee also has an advantage as a lefty that can attack as well. Teams need to watch out when playing her as I anticipate she will throw down some impressive setter dumps as her game continues to grow.

I love lefties, especially a lefty setter so it is no surprise that Jacie caught my eye. She is a hard working setter with good footwork and quick hands. Due to her strength and court awareness, she is able to isolate attackers putting them in the best position to score. Lee is also a solid attacker. She can hit from the pin and even the middle. As she continues to develop her game, I can’t wait to watch her run a 5-1 and throw out those crafty setter dumps that lefties can do. Since she is a versatile player and effective attacker already, I have a feeling she will be really good at it.
