She has terminated double-digit kills in all but one match this season as she leads the league in kills through a career high 5.5 k/s. The Miami (OH) commit is a power at the net with her 6’0 frame and ability to thump the ball upon contact. She gets it done at the service line as well as she is tops in the Western Reserve at 41 total aces to go along with 9.5 d/m.

With over 500 kills in her varsity career at Riverside, there is a feeling that Zgonc will grow her numbers and impact in 2025 given what she showed she can do throughout a high quality club season. With some of the best arm speed in this class and a broad range of scoring ability, Zgonc can punish the ball with her arm. Equally impressive is her passing and defense at the net and behind the block. With 115 aces and 448 total digs entering her junior season, Zgonc is one to keep an eye on regarding prospects that create a balance of impact over a variety of game phases. Her impressive club season led to her recent commitment to DI Miami University (Ohio).

Zgonc continues to demonstrate one of the heaviest arms in this Ohio class. She can simply get up and punish the ball, especially when she has space in front of her to swing freely. As this team has good ball control action, she often gets and finds space in the variety of attacking options she sees at the pins or in combination in the middle area of the floor. When defenders are up, she knows well how to swing at the edges of the block. That skill and I.Q. shows up in her passing as well as she demonstrates ease and composure in her reaction and movement.

The 6’0 Zgonc has one of the heaviest arms in this class as a pin hitter. Aside from her offense, she can contribute in other areas with great skill and impact, making her a complete prospect and a big reason she deserves the attention as such. She is her RockCity team’s biggest offensive threat and they utilize her often and well in getting her into situations where she can showcase her big power and pace. With impressive offensive range, she is relentless in her aggressiveness at the point of contact with the ability to find gaps or overpower well formed blocks.

Zgonc certainly has one of the most aggressive and powerful arms when she applies contact to the ball. She has the ability to absolutely unload with good arm speed and pace that can terminate with good authority. She is a terminal hitter in that she often is swinging with one purpose, to score and end plays, rather than to manage and control a point until she can find open space. And what she brings can overpower defenses, which will continue to impress those that see her for the first time or are continuing their observation and evaluation of her game. This is a great event to see how well she handles this big stage with great depth of elite talent she’ll face.

Zgonc is one on the radar to watch all season as she has high potential to be a prospect that will garner a lot of recruiting attention going forward. She’s a 6’0 pin that can pass with good movement form, and angle production, which elevates her value when you add that to the pace and range she can bring in the air off her arm from anywhere on the floor. Her lift is aggressive as she does a good job to get on balance in the air, which allows her to move the ball around well without compromising her arm speed.

Zgonc can bring some heat. The 5’10 left side pin is a primary option with a complete skill set. She finished the 2024 high school season with 332 total kills for a 3.9 k/s average while also picking up over 10 digs per match. Some of her best action is at the end of her approach work as she gets her feet to the ball with a big double-arm lift that gets her on balance with ability to develop big torque and pace upon contact.
