Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
My intensity and athleticism are two of the qualities about me that I'm the most proud of. I have fast feet, quick hands, and I am a loud mouth on the court. I hate to lose and will do anything to make sure we get the win. To be honest, I work best with tough coaches and like to be pushed. Getting yelled at when we need to be is something I'm not afraid of, and actually appreciate at times!
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I have high expectations for myself and my team, and I would describe myself as mentally tough. I have been frustrated or mad over a loss but I've never cried because of volleyball. That's just not me. My personality is actually a goofball, and I'm always laughing or making up crazy pregame rituals with my teammates. Former coaches and teammates would probably call me little "air headed." LOL
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I was invited to National Honor Society and I run Varsity track, I also volunteer a lot for events at the Kenosha YMCA.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Volunteering for the Y has helped me to learn team work. I'm still working on my leadership skills but I'm pretty proud of how far I've come! Especially being an upperclassmen now, that's important. Plus I have 4 younger sisters to I learn leadership skills in my own house! :)
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
My Dad passed away from brain cancer when I was 3 so that has been a challenge in and of itself. He was an amazing athlete and played professionally so I'm trying to make him proud.
What type of college are you looking for?
One with a strong volleyball program and a hard working, positive culture. I am undecided for my major but am leaning towards something in the medical field or even pre-med. I also know that I would prefer to be in a city that is not extremely small. Beyond that though, I am open to any opportunity that I'd be lucky enough to receive.
