About Jaylee

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Encouraging, positive, and committed athlete. Think on my feet and make adjustments and improvements with every game played. Support all teammates and be the leader on the court the setter needs to be.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

On the court I am a focused athlete that plays each game with all of my heart. In my social time I like to have focused time on self but, also like to meet new people and have fun.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a part of FFA, 4H Lodi Challengers, Musical, NSHSS invite, Received multiple 4H awards for showmanship for rabbits. In the high school band I play the bass clarinet and have went to Solo ensemble.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

My skills and qualities as a setter have grown in the past two years as this is a new position for me that I started three years ago. I have learned to become the leader on the court and off of the court. This has helped with my confidence outside of volleyball as I am planning to become an FFA officer in the next year.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Significant challenges that I have faced as a setter would include taking feedback from multiple teammates at the same time. This can getting overwhelming but, I have learned to accept and tune in and out which feedback is necessary for a game.

What type of college are you looking for?

The type of college that I am interested in ideally would have an animal science major as I would like to go to veterinary school. It would also have a strong volleyball program with support for student athletes.
