About Jaylen

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My play style is explosive and dynamic, with relentless hustle and hard work on every point. As a team player with a high vertical, I do my best to bring energy to the court, and work to consistently make impactful plays while supporting my teammates.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Off the court, I’m thoughtful and supportive. On the court, I bring energy, positivity, and focus. I’m driven to improve, face challenges with determination, and uplift my teammates while staying committed to my goals.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a student-athlete, I’ve built teamwork skills through communication and trust, embraced leadership by supporting my team, and improved time management by balancing school, sports, and commitments. I also enjoy giving back through community service.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One challenge I’ve faced is building self-confidence on and off the court. I’ve learned to trust my abilities, speak up, and make quick decisions. Volleyball has taught me persistence and the importance of believing in myself.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that values both academic and athletic growth, with a supportive team environment and strong coaching to help me reach my full potential. I want a school where I can excel on the court, pursue my passion for STEM and engineering studies, and grow as an individual.
