About Jayme

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a 17-year-old left-handed setter with seven years of experience, my gameplay is all about versatility and strategy. I’m not just a setter; I’m a reliable utility player who can switch between Setter, DS, and RS roles whenever needed. I can adapt to any situation, making me a key player for my team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m determined and goal-oriented, constantly pushing myself to do better than the day before. My training and workouts are strict and disciplined. I have high standards for myself and I work daily to achieve them. My mentality is all about focus and dedication, and I bring that same energy to everything I do, both on and off the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am in club Volleyball, JROTC, Raider Competition JROTC Team, PALS Club, and I am part of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). I was also Academic All-District 2022 and 2023.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve been the team captain for 6 years, so leadership is definitely one of my strengths. I’m all about teamwork and making sure everyone feels included and supported. I also love giving back through community service and helping my fellow athletes strengthen their relationship with God. It’s important to me to be a positive influence both on and off the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I used to struggle a lot with doubting myself, always second-guessing if I was good enough. It was tough, but I’ve learned to work on it every day. Now, I focus on building my confidence through positive self-talk and setting small, achievable goals. I remind myself of my strengths and how far I’ve come. It’s a daily effort, but I’m getting better at believing in myself and my abilities.

What type of college are you looking for?

I have a deep love for my country and a strong desire to serve it. My goal is to attend a college that I can play volleyball and serve in ROTC.
