About Jayna

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am an aggressive middle hitter who likes the quick attack at the net.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a positive player who tries to build up her teammates. I always have a smile on my face. I am open to critique and love to work on improving my game.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am active in student government and National Junior Honor Society. I have been recognized through my middle school for various awards.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am a leader both on and off the court. I am the captain of my club team and am a committee chair in student council. Teamwork is important to me because I know that I need great teammates around me to succeed.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have had to play through injuries and the loss of my grandfather in the middle of a club season. I’ve learned to overcome adversity and to rely on my team to help get me through.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am open to all types of colleges. I am not fixed on size or location. I am interested in elementary education so a program with success in that area is important to me.

This MB/RS hitter can HIT. THE. BALL! To me looks like she has big hands because she gets full contact when snaps that ball. Very good control and she can hit it accurately all over the court. Watched some video of her playing RS as well, and for defenses, she is a problem. She is a MB to keep an eye on I was impressed.
