About Jessa

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m confident and coachable. I work hard on defense, communicate well, and do whatever my team needs to win.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a strong, positive mentality. I stay focused, work hard, and don’t get discouraged by mistakes. I’m coachable, competitive, and always willing to push myself.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in the Junior National Honor Society, which recognizes strong academics, leadership, and good character. This reflects my commitment to working hard both in the classroom and on the court.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed strong teamwork and leadership skills by communicating on the court, supporting my teammates, and leading by example with effort and attitude. I’m coach-able, disciplined, and dependable, and I work hard to balance school, sports, and being a positive role model.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One challenge I’ve faced is playing up against older and more experienced athletes. It pushed me out of my comfort zone, but it helped me become more confident, tougher mentally, and better at adjusting to faster, stronger competition.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that has strong academics and a competitive volleyball program, with coaches who value hard work, development, and teamwork. I want a positive team culture where I can grow as a student, athlete, and person.
