Jocelyn Potter was incredibly impactful during her time at the Freshman Showcase. She may be smaller in stature, but she consistently makes big plays and finds ways to make her presence felt on the floor. From the moment she stepped into gameplay, her communication and awareness stood out. She was constantly talking, directing, anticipating what was coming next, and taking ownership of the court around her.

What we loved most about Jocelyn was how involved she was in every single rally. Whether she was chasing down an out-of-system ball after making a defensive play, covering a hitter, calling an offensive option, or working hard in transition to get herself back into setting position, she was always doing something productive. Her motor never seemed to stop, and it was difficult to take your eyes off her because she was constantly finding ways to impact the next contact.

Jocelyn also showed a strong understanding of what it means to run a floor. She wasn’t simply focused on delivering the second ball—she was communicating with her hitters, organizing the offense, and anticipating what her team needed before the play developed. That type of court awareness is impressive for a young setter and gives her a strong foundation as she continues to grow into the position.

She’s the type of athlete who proves that impact isn’t determined by size. Her hustle, communication, competitiveness, and ability to stay engaged in every phase of the game make her an exciting player to follow. Jocelyn is an impact player through and through, and we can’t wait to continue watching her develop and see where the game takes her.
