About Joci

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play competitively with a strong desire to win, but I also recognize the importance of teamwork. I believe that we all need to push not just ourselves, but also each other to achieve our best. I consistently strive to perform at my highest level, whether it’s passing every ball or capitalizing on any opportunity to score. I pride myself on making smart decisions when serving, passing, executing

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is driven by my passion and love for the game. Despite being on the shorter side, I've always been told by coaches that I may not reach the same heights as taller players. However, I refuse to let that discourage me. I strive for improvement every day and put forth my utmost effort. My personality reflects this as well; I genuinely care for those around me and maintain a faith life

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in the garden club, student council, and French club. I believe that participating in school activities is crucial for maintaining a busy but meaningful schedule. These clubs are particularly important to me because I love giving back, not just for the personal satisfaction, but also for the positive impact it has on the people around me and my community.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’m always looking for ways to give back to my community, whether it’s volunteering at church events or lending a hand at my local food pantry. Helping others has always been a passion of mine. Additionally, during the summer, I teach three and four-year-olds, which has been a rewarding experience. This role has really helped me understand the importance of teamwork and leadership.

What type of college are you looking for?

im looking for a college where I can really find my place academically, racially, and socially. My goal is to work in the fields of real estate and architecture, so I want to find a school that has strong programs in those areas. It’s important to me to have access to knowledgeable and supportive teachers who can guide me in my studies. Additionally, I’m hoping to be part of a welcoming community!
