About Jordan
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
At 6’1” with a 9’10” touch, I am a setter for Tribe and a varsity athlete at The King’s Academy. I have been competing with my club team since we were 11, building strong chemistry and leadership on the court. I take pride in leading the offense of extremely talented athletes, setting up my teammates for success, and being a steady presence in high pressure moments.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’m competitive and driven, always pushing myself and my team to reach new levels of success. As a setter, I see the game through a leadership lens—focused on bringing out the best in everyone. I thrive under pressure, balance intensity with encouragement to keep the team connected and confident. I’m about doing what it takes to win, while never losing sight of teamwork and trust.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Outside of volleyball, I’m passionate about music and perform with the award-winning King’s Academy Jazz Ensemble, playing the saxophone, which allows me to express myself creatively and be engaged in my school community. In addition to the saxophone, I enjoy playing the guitar, drums, flute and harmonica with my friends in our band, 39 to 44.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Volleyball has taught me to lead by example, communicate under pressure, and keep my team focused and resilient. It’s shown me the power of working toward something bigger than myself. Most importantly, it’s inspired me to give back by mentoring younger players and supporting my community.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Being diagnosed with dyslexia and dysgraphia in second grade taught me early on that challenges don’t define your limits. Through persistence and hard work, something that once held me back is now a strength, discovering a true love for reading and writing along the way. Overcoming this showed me that with determination, anything is achievable. It’s a lesson I carry both on and off the court.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a college where I can compete at a high level of volleyball while also being challenged academically. A strong academic reputation matters to me just as much as athletic excellence. Just as important, I want to be part of a campus and team culture built on trust, support, and shared goals. Finding the right balance of competition, academics, and community is what matters most.
