The Knights’ season ended in the Class 4A State Tournament in Hutchinson. Whitfield had a solid senior season. Her stat line included 159 kills, 227 digs, and 288 serve receptions. She is a six rotation athlete who finished with career totals of 530 kills, 537 digs, and 538 serve receptions. “Miss 500” has verbally committed to Missouri Southern and is ranked No. 88 overall. Call me old-fashioned, but I still cringe when I see Kansas athletes sign with Missouri schools. Yes , I am that damn old.
