Journey, pictured, grabs your attention on the court with her aggressive play and plentiful talent! She is an exciting player to watch with a fast strong swing and an explosive attack. She can reel off numerous super nice cross court kills with excellent vertical to get on top of those balls and get big results. She can return those hard hits with good ups showing good control from sound fundamentals and readiness. She can tip aggressively and find a seam or a spot in the opposition showing great court IQ and ball control. She gets up for the block and can serve cleanly and accurately. She is supportive of her teammates with great enthusiasm on the court. We see a big future for her!

Gibson appears ready to take her game up several notches with key graduations. Gibson makes good first touches. She reacts well to hard-hit balls. She takes big rips from the back row and can angle balls off blocks for big kills. Gibson said she’s been taking a lot of repetitions on hitting balls in the back row and connecting with the 16 Select setter to get the timing down.

Gibson gave the Bruins balance on the outside this past fall. Gibson uses good form to put tremendous power into balls. Gibson pounds balls down the line on go routes and off blockers. Gibson uses great timing to form solid double blocks.

Gibson has improved tremendously on the outside for the Bruins this fall. Gibson continues to take good follow-throughs and send balls flying to the ground with strong wrist snaps. That forces opponents to block her and teammates one-on-one. Gibson has improved her net defense with better timing on her blocks. She forms good double blocks with teammates.

Gibson has a bright future ahead of her. Gibson has been working on roll shots to complete her hard hits from all six spots on the court. Gibson is trying to turn into a solid all-around player. She makes consistent two to three-point passes and sends in solid jump serves.

Gibson is turning into a solid all-around player for the 15 Select and Ballard squads. Gibson has found a number of different hits from the front and back row. She’s working on her roll shots and landed some soft touches in the middle of the court. Gibson is also a nice server and made good first touches throughout the day.

Gibson (pictured) moved up to the varsity level later in the season and made a huge impact on the outside for the Bruins. Gibson has a great follow-through on her swings and the team is trying to take advantage of her athleticism. Gibson will only improve throughout club season and make a bigger impact this fall. She had 107 kills, helping Ballard go a school record 29-8 with a 28th District crown and an appearance in the 7th Region semifinals.
