Committed to Rice, she is included in this rankings list as neighboring PA has yet to launch of full Prep Dig focus for volleyball. As she crosses the border to compete in Ohio, she is key to the success for AVC as they are an elite club at multiple ages in the Ohio Valley Region. They recently swept the OVR Bid event to earn their USAV GJNC opportunity this summer in the 17 National division. Over the weekend, Cernich saw ample opportunities at the net from both sides of the court. On 500 total kills during the fall season, she averaged 4.6 k/s on a .322 efficiency and 49% kill rate as Avonworth finished 20-7 overall.

The 6’0 outside hitter uses her length well to create a high contact point that can challenge the top of the block well. She has good range in all areas of the game, which was a big factor for AVC’s success over the past several months. The Avonworth product was named an AA Pennsylvania all-state honoree in 2024 as one of a handful of sophomores to earn that distinction. She is committed to Rice.
