Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
My play style is centered around my versatility, and mg advantages come from my height, athleticism and blocking. I can play every single position on the court and although I primarily set, I hit front row as a force from the brightside. I have been trained and played games from the middle, and played my entire high-school season playing outside and 6 defense.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am a very loud presence on a court, as I command my offense and guide my defense. I have a energetic personality and bring a lot of energy, but even more intensity. I love tough games tight scores, and battles between other admirable players. I am hungry for every set no matter the score, and I play with aggression and an all out attitude.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Yes I play for Wildfire Volleyball and have been there since my 12U year when I started volleyball. I have recieced many non-sport awards, centered around my excellent academics and displays of good character.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I've developed great communication and leadership skills over the years. I've always been a captain but being a captain and a leader are two different things. I haven't always been the best leader in previous years but I've taken every experience to learn. I've learned how to deal with different teamates in different ways, how to handle the team when we're all angry, and how to keep a cool head.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Yes, up until just a few months ago, I've struggled with perfectionism. I have improved so much and now don't even see it as an issue. I used to cry on the court, complain about my gameplay, and be way too hard on myself. As I have grown and learned, I have realized that the perfectionism I had was very selfish as a leader. I'm proud to say I've gotten out of it.
What type of college are you looking for?
I'm looking for a very competitive school with a great volleyball program and academic opportunity. While D1 is the ultimate goal I still care a lot about my overall experience and value on a team and as a student. I want to go somewhere super far from home either but there are exceptions.
