Y’all who follow me know I love my southpaw opposites, and we have another one in the Truman Patriot. Lesane didn’t cheat herself with her swings, taking some good rips at the ball when I watched her during scrimmage play. At 5-foot-7, she may be undersized for the position, but she uses her athleticism and ability to get off the floor to help make up for it. I liked the aggressiveness she showed as an attacker and her willingness to go after the ball rather than play it safe. After getting some varsity run as a freshman, Lesane looks ready to take another step, and I expect her to be a breakout candidate during her sophomore season.

The southpaw is extremely athletic and can get up, giving her the ability to be a threat at the net. I also walked away impressed with her back-row defense on film, as she showed the ability to make plays beyond just her offensive contributions. I like what I see from her ability to mix up her shots and find different ways to score rather than relying solely on her athleticism. She played this past club season with Club North and is another athlete I’m looking forward to seeing in person.

Despite being undersized, Kailynn is a dynamic lefty opposite hitter for Club North and plays outside for Truman. Her relentless work ethic shines both on and off the court, as she continually strives to elevate her game. With remarkable verticality and the ability to generate power in her swings, she compensates for her stature. Kailynn’s infectious passion for volleyball and her unwavering support for her teammates create a vibrant energy that propels her team forward.

This southpaw right-side shows a confident, composed presence, bringing added value with the ability to hold their own in serve receive. First contact is steady and controlled, helping keep the offense in system. Offensively, the lefty delivers a clean, natural arm swing, creating a different look and consistent scoring opportunities from the pin. An area of growth to continue watching is her play at the net defensively.
