Jeremy Deckard | Prep Dig Scout
Hastert led the Lions in kills as a senior. She tallied 367 kills in 73 sets played. She also recorded 43 blocks, which was the second-highest total by a Cair Paravel athlete this fall. She had back-to-back seasons with 300-plus kills, recording 732 kills over her past two prep seasons. To my knowledge, she is still an uncommitted prospect.

Hastert is a physical prospect who is now ranked No. 32 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026. She had an outstanding club season for Club North . To my knowledge, she remains uncommitted and, in my opinion, is underrecruited. If she played for a larger school that played more competitive teams, she would be noticed more frequently. She finished her junior season with 365 kills and 85 blocks. She would be a great fit for Division II and JUCO programs.

Hastert is a power hitter, whom I hope to see play this fall. Cair Paravel is a team I sometimes get a chance to catch during the prep season. I have said this before, but if Hastert played for the likes of Seaman or Washburn Rural she would be more well-known in college coaching circles. She is ranked No. 15 overall by Prep Dig Kansas.

Hastert plays on a high school team that often gets overlooked in Topeka. Yet, like the town of Overbook, you don’t want to overlook her. She is a gifted athlete who finished her junior season with 365 kills and 85 blocks. If she played for state powerhouses like Seaman and Washburn Rural she would be more well-known. College coaches should check out her game.
