About Karsynn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as versatile and aggressive. I am the type of player that will play any position my coach needs. I have been asked to play as an Outside Hitter, Defensive Specialist, Libero and Setter. I enjoy focusing on all aspect of the game to ensure whenever I am needed, I can perform and compete at a high level.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I feel like there are two sides of me. On the court, I am competitive, aggressive, and mentally tough. I also like to have fun and enjoy playing with my team. Off the court, I am a little more reserved however, I am stilly silly, I like to joke around with my teammates while also knowing when I need to take a mental break to reset and refocus.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Volleyball has really helped me get out of my comfort zone and put me in situations that push me. I pride myself to be the best teammate and leader on my team. I have been able to develop not only my physical ability which allows my coaches and teammate to rely on me on the court but also my teamwork abilities that allow my coaches and teammates to rely on me off the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I started playing volleyball when I was 10/11 years old and have always played "up" in age group. At times, my teammates tend to look at me as the "baby" of the team and to earn their respect, I put in a lot of time developing my skills both physically but mentally but knowing the game of volleyball. This has helped me through the "baby" mindset of my teammates and am a player you can rely on.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that will give me a chance to play at the next level. As an undersized setter, I know I am at a disadvantage however, what I lack in height, I make up for with drive, work ethic, and heart. I am open to all possibilities when it comes to college that not only challenges me on the volleyball court but also in the classroom.
