About Kate

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style could be described as aggressive, smart, and thorough.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I love to work hard for my team, and would rather accomplish a team win and hit a personal stat goal.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Outside of volleyball I am a part of National Honor Society and am President of my high school’s student council.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Coming from a program that has produced many great leaders, I was able to learn many great leadership qualities that set me up to lead even before becoming a senior. I have always been taught to have a “We Before Me” mindset, so I never think twice when putting a teammate first.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My freshman and sophomore years of highschool I underwent back to back injuries that prevented me from participating in sports. My freshman year I fractured two vertebrae in my lower back and sophomore year I tore my ACL.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a relatively affordable college with a small campus feel that will help me achieve my goal of eventually becoming a dentist.
