About Kate

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play with a lot of confidence and energy. I don’t only play for myself but for the people around me always.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I try and not the little mistakes bother me, I have learned when the game gets fast so does your mind. I remind myself to calm down and slow the game down and have fun.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am not.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

When leading a team people have to trust you. They can turn to you to get them out of situations. You can’t lead a team if you can’t put yourself first and know what you need to work on. Volleyball takes a lot of time to get good and consistent you have to be willing to put in that work.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced many from injuries to my mental game but it all comes back to how far are you willing to push yourself and how to come back from it.

What type of college are you looking for?

Wichita state - looking for good coaches and people to make me better.

Looking forward to playing with this team and making the run for state!

What is special about this group of players?
Something so special about this group is our connection and the bond we have together nobody else has.

Some hurdles is just staying consistent through the whole season and playing our best in every game.

What would you tell your freshman self right now if you could talk to her?
I would tell my freshman self never stop believing in yourself and try new things don’t be scared of the unknown that’s what makes it fun

What kind of legacy are you trying to leave in your program?
The legacy I am trying to leave is my name when people hear my name they know who I am and how hard I work to get where I am today
