About Katelyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as eager and decisive. I love getting hype with teammates but also know when play smart.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I can be a leader but also a regular teammate. I love celebrating my teammates successes as if they were my own.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

AP scholar HIGH HONORS AWARD 2022,23,24

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I would say leadership, as it’s only my third year playing club, it’s also my third year being a captain. I’ve learned how to lead my team in games and practices but also just boost the overall morale on the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My freshman year, I struggled being in a small school environment. I had lost my friends after a misunderstanding, and it severely impacted my ability to complete work and attend school. Through this, teachers also criticized me for my attendance and doubted my ability to succeed. Although it felt like I had no allies, I pushed through the end of the school year with all passing grades.

What type of college are you looking for?

A social but academic environment where I can balance school work and athletics.
