About Katherine

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am strategic in my placement of the ball and I play consistently. When I hit outside or right side I can place the ball where people are not. On my school team I am the number #1 in kills

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Several coaches describe me as a positive energy on the court who keeps everyone on track.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in my school pickle ball club, comet ambassador, a volunteer at North Tulsa Learning Center, and I will soon be in National Honors society. I have also kept above a 4.0 weighted GPA all of my high school career.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have definitely developed a leadership role on my school team because I was a starter on varsity as a sophomore, and now as a junior I have the responsibility to keep everyone positive.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I had to recover from mono for 4 months while still trying to play my 16s club year. Now I am struggling with a chronic leg injury that I have gotten surgery for.

What type of college are you looking for?

A large division 2 college or a small division 1 college that are great academic schools.
