Gielas has been one of the best pin arms in the greater Cincy area for the past four years and blossomed into one of the best in this Ohio class as her prep career progressed. She has length and range that will translate very well to the next level at Florida Gulf Coast. She wrapped her high school career at Ursuline with impressive numbers, including 1,231 total kills over 363 total sets for a 3.4 k/s average for her career. Over 760 kills were earned over the past two seasons, earning her all-GGCL honors both seasons, including 1st team in 2024.

Gielas is so fundamentally sound on her swings that you do not want to blink or you will miss the ball hitting the ground. Gielas delivers them from all six spots on the court making it no surprise she can go off for 30-plus kills in games. She has such great footwork to put balls off blockers. Gielas continues to swing after getting blocked and is a sound blocker at the net.

Gielas was money in this game. She takes great approaches at the net and puts a lot of power into balls so they go screaming to the floor. The Lions do what they can to take full advantage of her athleticism and that will continue to grow throughout the season.

Gielas has been a solid option so far on the young season for the Lions. Her body may be aimed one way, but she makes adjustments in the air to send it to another location fooling defenders. She takes cross-court and shorter passes and smacks balls off defenders. Gielas takes overpassed balls and slips them to open parts of the court. Gielas also has great footwork, putting herself into hitting position long before the balls get to her hands. Gielas also does a great job passing the ball. Gielas also has a tough line hit. Gielas is fifth in the league in both kills with 32 and digs with 40.
