How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Katie is quick and agile on the court making smart decisions with every ball she sets. Her defense is great, and she can easily make last-ditch effort moves sprawling and diving to ensure every ball stays up. She has solid serve receive and stays calm throughout the whole game. She can play every position but excels in setting and defense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m an introverted person but when I step into the court I turn into a different breed. Being competitive fills me to my very bones and it is instinct from then on. I trust my training and experience and let my body do the rest.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Playing volleyball has greatly improved my communication, leadership, and teamwork skills. I've learned to effectively lead and work with others, which has positively impacted both my game and my daily interactions. This experience has made me strive to be a better person for myself and those around me.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

When I first tried out for the club, I was placed on the regional team. Although I was told there was a chance to move up to the national team with significant growth, I felt discouraged. Despite this, I practiced with both teams daily, sometimes twice a day. All that effort paid off when I was finally invited to join the national team!
