About Kaylee

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Always giving 110% when I am on the floor or on the sideline or at practice. When I am on the floor I try to be a voice and lead no matter the situation. I will give up my body to get to any ball possible!

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Anything is possible, if I put in work and extra practice I can achieve all my goals. If I make a mistake I take a second and reset and I am ready to go for the next play. I try and use this same mentality in life.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

In middle school I was a member National Junior Honor Society, I also play softball in high school. For volleyball I started every set and match as a freshman on varsity. I set 2 school records for digs during my freshman season. Most digs in a set with 34 and most digs in a season with 484, beating the old school record by 100.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have learned that being a leader on the court is much more than being loud. I learned to lead by example and lift up others when they are down and if I make a mistake to brush it off and go get the next one. Teamwork especially in volleyball is a key factor to success and being one on the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I had a challenging club season last year, I wasn't get much playing time and I was down on myself and wanting to even walk away from volleyball. We had a nice talk with my coaches and what i needed to do on and off the court. It really changed my mindset and focus. I went on to bring that to practice which earned more playing time and finish the season as the most improved player on the team.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would love to attend a college that fits my goals for my future, playing volleyball and getting my degree. I would like to attend a college in Indiana, Ohio or Michigan. But I am really open to anywhere.
