About Keira

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Dynamic middle blocker with quick feet and a powerful hitting ability. Known for exceptional agility on the court, Keira excels in both offensive and defensive plays, making her a key asset to any team. With a strong understanding of game strategy, she effectively reads the opposition and anticipates plays. Keira is committed to teamwork and continuous improvement.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m an all in teammate. I’m quick witted and direct. I have a great time with my teammates, but know when to lock in. I’m 100% committed and love to compete.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

2025 Top Sophomore speech for my If I Could Change the World Project.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Team First, Self Last is a philosophy I carry each day in the choices I make, be it about my Team, my Family, My community. Leading is a privilege that comes without titles and one I embrace.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

At the end of my 9th grade year I was diagnosed with ADHD along with anxiety and a specific executive functioning skill challenge. I really struggled in school, at home and on the court. Learning I had these challenges actually helped me understand myself better and paced the way to a great 10th grade year. Facing adversity has set me up for success.

What type of college are you looking for?

My first interest is in animal research/biology. Finding a school with animal sciences, wildlife, marine life labs is priority. I love the big sport atmosphere, but care most about the culture as a whole of a school. My dream is to be a student-athlete. My parents were both college athletes and their experiences have taught me what a privilege it would be. I am open to all great experiences.

Keira stands out as a middle who refuses to be passive. She takes pride in her offense, serve, and especially her ability to cover the ball at the net, staying engaged beyond traditional middle responsibilities. She is actively working on passing, attending clinics and taking back-row reps in practice to become more complete. Her goal this season is to be the kind of player who immediately changes the energy of a match when she steps on the court, becoming faster, harder to read, and more consistent against quick offenses. Teammates describe her as the glue of the group, someone who keeps things light while also holding everyone accountable, a balance Keira values deeply.
