About Keniah

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a fast, smart setter who plays with high energy and strong court awareness. I use my volleyball IQ to make smart decisions, run a quick offense, and stay aggressive on defense. As a freshman varsity starter, I learned to lead under pressure and always play with purpose and hustle.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m outgoing, friendly, and love to bring energy to my team. I’m goofy off the court, but when it’s game time, I flip the switch — focused, competitive, and ready to win. I love pushing myself and my teammates to be our best while keeping the vibes positive and fun.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

While I’m not currently involved in clubs or non-sport activities, I’ve dedicated my time to growing as a student-athlete. I’m focused on improving my game, supporting my team, and staying on top of academics. I’m always open to new opportunities and excited to keep growing on and off the court.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a setter, I’ve developed strong leadership and communication skills by running the offense and keeping my team connected. I’ve learned the value of teamwork, staying positive under pressure, and helping others succeed. I always bring energy, focus, and a team-first mindset to everything I do.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

At Nationals last year, I got very sick and had to miss a game, which was tough physically and mentally. But I stayed focused on supporting my team and pushed through to play in our final qualifying match. We ended up winning the Patriot Division championship, and it taught me a lot about perseverance, teamwork, and mental toughness

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college where I can grow both on and off the court a place with competitive volleyball, and coaches who see the value in hustle, IQ, and heart. I want to keep developing, be part of a team culture I vibe with, and get the chance to play the game I love at a high level.

The VVA 15 Weichmann setter helped guide her team through each match with a focus on energy, trust, and staying mentally strong. “We knew we had to fight every match like it was a championship,” she said. Even under pressure, she led with clarity and creativity. “This tournament taught me how to stay sharp while leading my offense against amazing teams.” That level of perspective and control shows she’s already developing into a next-level leader. Keniah added, “I’m so grateful to my coaches for always trusting me and pushing me to my athletic abilities, and to VVA for allowing me to be part of this amazing roster. We brought home the silver! Go VVA!”
