About Kennedy

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as smart and competitive. I find the holes on the opposing side and place the ball there, I am always ready to win and do what it takes to be there for my team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I would describe my personality as energetic. I’m always trying to uplift my team no matter the score. I would describe myself with the “next point” mentality. Whether we won or lost the point, there is always something to learn from it while also shaking it off and continuing to play.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been the captain of my club volleyball team for three years. As the captain, I lead on the court by building up my teammates.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One significant challenge that I faced was during my freshmen season of my volleyball career. It was our first game of the season, and my first time playing varsity. In the third set, with only 2 more points to win the game, I sprained my ankle coming down from a block. This injury had me out for three weeks.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that will push me to be the best version of myself, as well as prepare me academically, physically, and mentally for my future.
