About Kennedy

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a very scrappy middle blocker. I can play the ball off of my own block when needed. I love finding open spots on the court to either hit, or tip the ball.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I love cheering others on, and celebrating others success more than my own. I have been a member of the Varsity team since my 7th grade year, so I have seen and played with many different types of people throughout my years. My mentality is to not only win, but to play with the talents God has blessed me with and be grateful for another game or practice.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Outside of school I am a member of Kentucky's HOSA, BETA, and FCA. I also was a 2024 Roger Explorer, and I am now a 2026 Roger Scholar. I completed in regional HOSA testing, I placed 3rd in Epidemiology.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Volleyball has taught me to set aside myself for the well being of others. To also step up when a challenge is permitted and not back down no matter the battle I face.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

In my years I have faced the difficulty in age difference when playing up with the high school girls since middle school. I have learned to adapt and play with them on their level since competing. I have also overcame and grown after 2 knee surgeries in 2 years. I have came back better than ever, and am more determined to be better.

What type of college are you looking for?

One that will offer either what's needed for my undergrads or a full program. I am looking to become a dental hygienist within my future. I would also love one with good chemistry and healthy relationships.
