About Khadijah

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

- I like to stay aggressive while i’m having fun on the court. I know when and where to place a ball and I’m not afraid to keep the pressure on

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

- I’m a super bubbly person and I like to make sure everyone is having fun. I make sure to stay positive and lift those around me.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

- I have received AB honor roll multiple times and received Academic All-District during high school season while also receiving All- District Honorable Mention for my high school Varsity team!

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

- Leadership is one of the main qualities that I have developed through being on a team. I’ve become a lot more of an empathetic person because I know what it feels like to be in your head to the point you can’t perform your best on the court. I’ve learned to be a support system for my teammates around me because I was blessed with older girls that brought me in and pushed me to believe in myself.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

- When I was young I had trauma to the head that caused my brain to only recognize one eye or the other. So I wasn’t able to use half of my brain. So technically I was seeing double for 2 years. This kept me from reading correctly and having any depth perception. I later got laser eye surgery which fixed my eye but I do have a permanent depth perception deficit in my eye.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that is more family oriented and that holds me to a higher standard with academics. There’s not necessarily one college that i’m looking for. Just whichever suites my personality and values the best!

Please welcome Miss Blue officially to the State Rankings.  She is currently ranked as the 158th best overall prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings.  She plays for Steele High School and also for the South Texas Volleyball Academy club program.  Although only listed at five foot ten inches tall, Khadijah plays well over the net and has a strong upper body that stifles would be point scorers.  Her press over the net is second to none as she reaches over and takes away tons of space for the hitter to operate in.  She runs every route out of the middle with speed and has a great vertical jump that is difficult to time on the block.  What really helps her out is how she doesn’t overrun the set, which leaves a lot of space for her to swing with power.  The way that she elevates off of the ground is amazing and it is due to her extremely strong lower body.  Everything about her game is solid and after much consideration of the body of work that she has done over the years, it was a no-brainer to put her on this list.  Please help us congratulate her on being named one of the best players in the state of Texas.
