About Khadijah

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

- I like to stay aggressive while i’m having fun on the court. I know when and where to place a ball and I’m not afraid to keep the pressure on

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

- I’m a super bubbly person and I like to make sure everyone is having fun. I make sure to stay positive and lift those around me.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

- I have received AB honor roll multiple times and received Academic All-District during high school season while also receiving All- District Honorable Mention for my high school Varsity team!

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

- Leadership is one of the main qualities that I have developed through being on a team. I’ve become a lot more of an empathetic person because I know what it feels like to be in your head to the point you can’t perform your best on the court. I’ve learned to be a support system for my teammates around me because I was blessed with older girls that brought me in and pushed me to believe in myself.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

- When I was young I had trauma to the head that caused my brain to only recognize one eye or the other. So I wasn’t able to use half of my brain. So technically I was seeing double for 2 years. This kept me from reading correctly and having any depth perception. I later got laser eye surgery which fixed my eye but I do have a permanent depth perception deficit in my eye.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that is more family oriented and that holds me to a higher standard with academics. There’s not necessarily one college that i’m looking for. Just whichever suites my personality and values the best!
