Kiara is currently ranked as the 38th best overall prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig Florida State Rankings.  She plays for Gateway High School and also club for Florida Momentum Volleyball Academy program.  There are middles who take up a lot of space as a blocker and then there are true shut down blockers who can patrol he net laterally and be a game changer.  This is exactly what we saw from Miss Matos all night long at the showcase.  I loved how she drove hard toward her setter and unloaded on the ball when she thundered away.  The way she understood how to turn on the ball to hit around the block to score told me a lot about her ability to play at the next level.  There is no doubt in my mind that she can help a college roster in a few years.  Armed with a huge right arm and tons of power, she is a load for any blocker to try to handle.  This young lady can flat out ball in the middle and is extremely athletic.  Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.
