Let’s get the setters involved. Kern took the reins of York’s offense this fall and put out nearly nine assists per set for the Dukes. In addition to running a quick, precise attack, Kern also exhibited her aggression at the net and amassed nearly 100 kills on the second contact. Her multi-faceted game was complete with 3.8 digs per set as a Zone 1 defender, making Kern one of Class B’s best stat-stuffing setters. Not bad for a debut season as the full-time starter.
