How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I provide a strong first touch in serve receive and defense. I communicate with my hitters well on where to place the ball, and I am strong in out of system setting.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I always have a growth mindset mentality. I look to what me and my team can get better at and I offer my teammates feedback and advice as well. I communicate and encourage with my teammates every point.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Over the years I have developed into a great leader. I am a good teammate and communicate consistently and openly to my team. I am a hard worker and passionate about volleyball.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that will set me up for success in the future and provides a strong sense of community.

Akin continues to excel at the libero spot for the Indians, who are off to a 15-3 start and headed to the 2A state tournament in Owensboro. Her sound platform lets her make consistent two to three-point passes. Akin adds in solid serves and will take sound out of system hits if needed. Akin has 173 digs, 37 assists and 14 aces for the Indians so far.

Akin could be a hidden gem in this region. Akin is a solid two-sport athlete for the Indians, hoping to help the Indians continue to climb up the mountain coming off a school record for wins at 22-10 last fall. Akin does not hide behind balls. She has a good platform to make the sound passes and start up the Adair County offense. Akin provides a sound, line drive jump serve and can take nice swings when the team is out of system. Akin had 426 digs, 96 assists and 47 aces for the Indians last fall.
