About Korryn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style as a DS is relentless and energetic. I excel in reading the game, anticipating attacks, and delivering accurate passes under pressure. My quick footwork and fearless diving allow me to keep balls alive, while my vocal leadership and court awareness anchor the back row. I thrive in high-pressure situations, turning tough serves and attacks into rally-extending plays.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a fierce competitor with a calm, focused attitude. On the court, I’m vocal, encouraging, and strategic, always uplifting my teammates and staying composed in critical moments. Off the court, I’m approachable, disciplined, and deeply committed to personal growth and team success. My positive energy and work ethic help inspire those around me.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m engaged in my community through my church’s youth group, where we help organize service projects. I also volunteer helping youth volleyball by mentoring young players with their skills. I have achieved academic honor roll every quarter since 7th grade.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a libero, I’ve gotten super good at leading my team’s defense, like calling out plays and chatting with my setters and hitters. I love being a team player and helping my teammates. Through volunteering, I enjoy working with younger kids interested in sports in my community, I’ve learned to be more caring and organized, and I enjoy giving back to others.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of the toughest things I’ve done was deciding to leave my old volleyball club, where I was super comfortable, to join a new one where I didn’t know any of my teammates. I made the choice to help me grow as a player and push my skills to the next level. It was hard at first, but it taught me to adapt and build new connections.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m seeking a college volleyball program that values athletic excellence and encourages a strong team culture. I want a program with dedicated coaching, a focus on player development, and opportunities to compete at a high level. Additionally, I’m looking for a program at a school with strong academic support, a collaborative environment, and resources to pursue my academic interests.
