About Kylee

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would say my gameplay is very fast-passed and passionate. I’m always trying to be on my feet and ready to do whatever I need to do to make it a successful rally.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality for volleyball is to always enjoy the game and to never let mistakes get to me. I am a very headstrong and persevering person. If I want to accomplish something I am going to do everything I can to make it happen.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Beta club, Spanish Honor Society, National Honor Society, and Talent Search.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have a very strong sense of teamwork from working inside the classroom with my classmates and working with my school team facing our challenges throughout our season. I gain leadership from being one out of six upperclassmen on my team and leading our new teammates through high school ball. I also regularly volunteer with my church and the community.

What type of college are you looking for?

A small to medium sized college where I know I can learn and thrive both academically and athletically.

Hoiska goes up strong and finishes a number of different ways. That includes shots to the left corners. Hoiska does a great job hitting balls off blockers for big points. She makes quick adjustments in the air to land soft balls in the middle. Hoiska had 252 kills, 25 solo blocks, 12 assisted blocks and 300 digs this past fall, helping Harlan County go 26-7, win the 52nd District crown and advance to the 13th Region semifinals.
