About Kyleigh

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style involves mixing up my set options based on what see on the other side. I like to be an offensive threat for the other team by dumping. On defense I read hitters tips and hits.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I make it my goal for me that at any tournament I get past mistakes and not get held up by it. As a setter I’m supposed to be a leader for my team so I can’t held up on the past. I would say personality wise I can be goofy and fun but I can get serious when it matters. As a setter I will cheer on my teammates no matter what as they would for me if I had a good set or dump.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received Academic All-Conference twice in my high school career.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I developed being more vocal with my hitters what play we wanna run, or when the ball is mine or if I need up on second ball. I encourage my teammates when they look down on themselves.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

For me my height seems to be a big factor. It’s made me work harder to prove myself to others. As a short Setter though it won’t stop me from doing the best to my abilities.

What type of college are you looking for?

The type of college I’m looking for I would say is medium to small sized campus. One with a good veterinarian program. A team with supportive coach’s and teammates that will help continue my love of volleyball.
