Dakine likes to get Goranson involved offensively in the middle. She has a heavy arm and an outstanding ability to work around the block with her swing. The Gig Harbor standout works well with her setters, running behind or in front and varying her attack angles to keep the opposing middle from locking in to any particular pattern. Goranson covers ground quickly with her block move and gets her hands pressed across the net to shut down attackers.

Goranson will rip a set with heat; she can blast through a double block, turn a swing, and deliver a kill to an empty spot on the floor. The powerful 2028 middle had an excellent season for Gig Harbor, and her squad returned to the state tournament. The Gig Harbor team was tough to handle, and they will have plenty of talent coming back next season.

Goranson can pound down kills; she is athletic and powerful and knows how to turn the ball or make he most out of a challenging set. She makes terrific adjustments when she is in her approach, and figures out ways to be creatively “in” while still generating heat on her swings. The Gig Harbor sophomore was a go-to scorer for her Dakine squad during club, and she plays with excellent energy and passion.

Goranson plays a power game; she is strong at the net with a sense of how to work around the block and find the floor for kills. The Gig Harbor prospect hammers her serves, and the pace puts pressure on passers used to seeing consistent floaters. Goranson will smartly cut short her transition steps to be ready for an attack. She was able to keep defenses honest and rack up more attempts throughout the season.
