How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I set my expectations before each game. I concentrate on which hitters are on my front line and their combination of sets that they prefer. I speak with each player between sets to confirm which set they want. I encourage players to strive for their best and am always trying to embrace each moment in the game.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is grounded in being prepared, being adaptability, and conscientous of my teammates skills. I aim to be thoughtful and empathetic, always striving to understand my players and coach. I approach conversations with an open mind, ready to adjust my approach to suit what is best for the team.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As an athlete, I have taken on leadership roles, as a team captain for both Volleyball and Basketball, leading by example through my work ethic, attitude, and communication on and off the court. I have built resilience, learning how to overcome setbacks, handle pressure, and stay focused under stress and am quick to make decisions in order to provide the best options for those on my team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I have had coaches that don't believe in me as a player. Its hard to understand why some coaches are negative and condescending but others encourage through positivity and empathy. I have had to fight for my position on the court by accepting criticism and learning from my mistakes.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would like to go to a college that has a strong Volleyball program, that values academics, has a good balance between athletic and social life, a great campus community and helps with athletic/academic scholarships.
