Kynslee set a 5/1 for Heart of Virginia 16. She controlled the court well, showing off a strong volleyball IQ. While she was a 2027 playing down, she still showed a strong presence for running an offense. Just give her the weapons and she will make it work regardless of age.
She has the left handed swing that fits well for the right side. At 5’7″ her height may be an issue when playing at higher levels. HOV finished a solid 23rd place out of 87 teams in the Northeast Qualifier USA Division. They do not appear to have played in AAU or Junior Nationals.
It appears she also set a 5/1 for her high school Amherst County. She led her team in assists and aces. She even tied for the team lead in blocks showing that her 5’7″ height did not restrict her in that category.
Amherst County lost last year to Jefferson County in the quarter finals of the Class 4 Regional playoffs. Kynslee debuts at number 120 in the class of 2027 rankings.

Early in the year I saw her play at St. James and thought she was deserving of a ranking. She has great command of the court and the team. Then I saw where she was a 2027 playing down. That made me hesitate. Watching her this time she deserves a spot. She is a leader of a 16 team that played in a 17 tournament and made it to the finals, losing 15-13 in the third set.
She sets a 5/1 with a good grasp of the game to distribute her sets well. At 5’7″ she is a bit undersized for the front row, but she controls the game well. You sacrifice a little bit of height for the extra volleyball IQ you get playing on the court. At one point in a set when HOV was accumulating points she sensed CAVC was going to call a timeou. She rushed back to serve but fell short of stopping the CAVC timeout. Just give her the weapons and she will use them wisely.
Kynslee swings lefthanded , which is ideal for a right side. She has an uncanny sense for when to make the two handed setter dump that seemed to always find the floor. I did not see any attempts to spike a second ball or use her left hand to dump the ball over the net but I’m sure she is capable. Video seems to confirm she will sneak in a spike.
