About Lacey

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I like to see how other players hit and serve during warm-ups so I can know what to expect and be ready for what they bring.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I try to keep a positive mindset when when we are down by points in a game. I use the mistakes I've made as learning experience, learn how to fix it.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I was awarded a place in the Washington County "Nine who Shine" article. I was recognized for my years of volunteer work in my community. I was also selected to be in the first middle school Nebraska honor choir. I lettered in dance my freshman and sophomore years of high school.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I feel that I have developed leadership & teamwork skills. I have played on multiple teams & have learned from playing with different players/coaches. How to work with different personalities & leadership styles. My volunteer work taught me patience & understanding. I've worked with special needs adults & seniors in assisted living/nursing homes. Motivation to keep going from work.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, during my sixth grade year. I had an Osteochondroma bone growth removed from my shoulder. A one time bone growth that grew from a bone injury. I wasn't able to do anything for months and lost all the muscle I had. I had to fight to relearn all the muscle memory and regain strength in my shoulder.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that has a good business program. I hope to play volleyball in college so I can keep doing what I love and can learn for my future as well.

Bosshart is another small-town 2027 who played up a year with her club. She was a high-impact middle blocker with Nebraska Elite 17-2 this year, but Bosshart also has ample experience on the pins. She got into the action with Arlington High School last year and will likely see a much larger role as a junior–no matter which position Bosshart plays.

Nebraska Elite knows how to pull in small-town stars. Bosshart represents Arlington High School on the prep side and has made strides while playing up an age group with Nebraska Elite. This long, agile hitter swings with tremendous range and has a large attacking window in front of the setter. Bosshart can even slot into the outside hitter spot if extra firepower is needed, so keep an eye on her positional designation this fall.
