About Lacey
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
My gameplay style is dynamic and versatile. I strive to be a reliable player who can adapt to different game situations whether it’s making a crucial dig, setting up an assist or delivering a powerful hit. My goal is to always contribute to the team’s success in anyway I can.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I would describe my mentality as focused and steady. While I may be more reserved, I am committed to the team’s success and always and give my best effort. I approach the game with determination and a calm mindset. I am dependable and supportive of my teammates. My goal is to contribute to the team, both on and off the court.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am involved in several activities outside of club and school volleyball. I am a member of National Charity League (NCL) where I volunteer at least 20 hours a year and serve on the Hospitality committee for the monthly meetings. I am also involved in my church’s youth group where I support the church and outreach projects.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Through my volunteer work, I have developed my organizational and leadership skills. By giving back to my community, I demonstrate compassion and a commitment to serve. These experiences have shaped me into a more responsible and empathetic person.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
The biggest challenge for me has been moving from the East Coast to the Mid-West before moving to Texas. It was hard changing schools and making new friends but thankful for the support of my family.
What type of college are you looking for?
I am looking for a college with supportive community where I can pursue my passion for interior design and architecture. I would also love to continue to play volleyball in college. The perfect school would offer a balance of strong academics, supportive faculty and a vibrant volleyball program with great coaches.
