About Larkin

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play with a lot of energy and stay calm in tough moments. I like to compete and support my team with good communication and hustle. I try to be smart with my decisions and adjust quickly to what’s happening on the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m competitive but really coachable. I take feedback seriously and always try to get better. I’m positive, even when things get tough, and I try to be someone my teammates can count on.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in various clubs and organizations. I am a leader for the Dexter Christian Athletes club. I am in National Honors Society, HOSA, and my youth groups student council.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve learned how important communication and trust are in a team. I try to lead by example and bring good energy, whether we’re winning or not. Off the court, I’ve helped out a ton at my youth group. I have gone on missions trips, served in the children's ministry, and I have helped my sister increase her volleyball skills, which has taught me a lot about responsibility and being a role model.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One challenge I’ve faced was getting surgery on my left hand. I needed a bone graft due to my knuckle dying (AVN). Although it was hard and put my out of sports for a couple months it made me more determined to come back stronger than ever. It definitely wasn’t easy, but it helped me grow and stay focused on what I want to achieve.
