About Laura

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a high-energy, team-first libero/DS who prides myself on consistency, effort, and reliability. I focus on strong serve receive, defensive range, and court communication, and I work to keep plays alive and give my team the best chance to score.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am highly motivated, coachable, and competitive. I bring a positive attitude to the gym, work hard every day, and take pride in being dependable for my teammates. I want to get better every practice and always look for ways to improve.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Outside of volleyball, I focus on maintaining strong academics and balancing school responsibilities with my training schedule.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Volleyball has helped me develop strong leadership and teamwork skills. As a libero/DS, I’ve learned the importance of communication, accountability, and supporting my teammates. I lead by example through effort, preparation, and encouraging others.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Balancing academics, training, and competition has been challenging at times, but it has taught me time management, discipline, and resilience. I’ve learned how to stay focused, handle pressure, and continue improving even when things don’t go perfectly.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a competitive college volleyball program with a strong team culture that values hard work, development, and accountability. Academically, I am interested in studying Nutrition or Psychology, and I want a school where I can grow both as a student and an athlete.
