Please officially welcome Lauren to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 42nd best overall player according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays for Sierra Canyon High School and also the San Gabriel Elite club program. Miss Lynch is a superb defender and elite serve receive passer. Recently she committed to playing volleyball next season at the University of San Diego. All this young lady knows how to do is dig the ball. Her high school career has been prolific when it comes to ball control. This season she has become the all-time leader in digs at Sierra Canyon and that is a very admirable feat. Currently she has tallied 404 digs on the year and it is not done yet. I love how she keeps her eyes on the ball and is always ready to react quickly to make a move. The other aspect that truly stands out about her play is how she is able to absorb contact so softly to keep the ball on her side of the net for her setter to run offense off of it. She never adds any momentum into the contact by swinging her arms or raising up, which I love. She really needs to be studied by younger players. Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot in our prestigious State Rankings.
