About Lauren

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style tends to be offensive-driven, quick attacks, power hitting, and also very strategic when it comes to reading the defense and strategizing where to roll or tip the ball to certain spots on the opposite side of the net.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m focused, hyped during games and competitive.I also like to keep things in my life organized and clean (bedroom, school responsibilities, my car, chores, etc). I’m goofy and love to laugh.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m currently focused on my academics and club volleyball season.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I began my 10th grade HS season on JV, but a few games into the season I was brought up to varsity as an outside hitter where I earned a starting position for the rest of the season. This opportunity is where I took huge steps in growing as a player. I learned so much from this opportunity/experience. I believe I developed a new level of teamwork and becoming 100% coachable, I love this sport!

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

At 16, my significant challenges may not seem very “significant” to others. But what I can say is in my most challenging moments, it’s my family who’s helped me through it.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that will fulfill my academic goals first and foremost. A place that is supportive academically, mentally and competitively. It can be a big school or a small school, I’d just like it to have those three supportive attributes.
