Smith provides nice net backup and makes the simple passes. Smith does not hide behind blocks. Smith is always moving her feet, yet stops in her tracks to make those good passes.

Smith’s presence may be overlooked some, but it is very important. She steps to passes and puts the 17 Black team into a good offensive rhythm with consistent first touches. She makes quick adjustments on hard serves.

Smith brings a commanding presence to the backcourt for 17 Black and Greenwood. She sees hitters well and squares up her shoulders to balls to make solid passes. Smith sets her feet before balls arrive. Smith deposits tough line drive serves to different parts of the court. Smith had 191 digs and 78 aces in the fall, helping Greenwood go 24-16 and finish runners-up in both the 14th District and 4th Region Tournaments.
