About Lauryn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m an aggressive setter who looks to control the tempo of the game and create scoring opportunities at the net for either my hitters or me. I take pride in my consistency and leadership, serving as a team captain and keeping my team organized and energized on the court. I also bring solid defensive skills, making me a well-rounded player who contributes in every phase of the game.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I bring a calm and composed mindset to the court, especially in high-pressure situations. My teammates often describe me as the “mom” of the group because I’m supportive, dependable, and focused on keeping everyone positive and connected. I value strong communication and team chemistry, and I work to create an environment where everyone can succeed.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am an active member of my schools FBLA, FFA, and HOSA chapters. I also attend the Berean Bible church.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am very active in my community, especially through helping with youth volleyball camps and tournaments , where I’ve developed strong leadership skills while working with younger athletes. I’ve also volunteered at my community’s church camp, which has helped me grow in teamwork, responsibility, and communication, while strengthening my faith.

Antelope Volleyball Club has garnered several mentions in recent features, particularly after the group’s fruitful trip to the Great Plains Region Bid Tournament. Hansen is an incredibly versatile contributor to AVC 15 Blue’s smooth operation. This trend emerged in her debut season at Broken Bow, as Hansen churned out 3.8 assists per set to go along with a handful of kills in the front row. This is a classic setter-hitter athlete who can do whatever is needed to boost 15 Blue’s starting lineup, and her ascent should continue with the Indians this fall.

AVC 15 Blue has been quietly racking up victories against regional foes this year, and Hansen has had a consistent role in that effort. Her versatility as a dynamic setter-opposite has presented plenty of challenges for opposing scouting reports. Hansen led off her prep career with a wealth of starting experience for last year’s Broken Bow High School squad. Her biggest triumphs have come with Antelope Volleyball Club, highlighted by an unbeaten run through VCNebraska ‘s mid-March invite. Hansen and 15 Blue have our attention heading into Show Me.
